21st Century Information Fluency Project

The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy’s (IMSA) 21st Century Information Fluency Project (21CIF) provides free resources and training to Illinois' educators and learners so that they may locate, evaluate and use digital information resources more effectively, efficiently and ethically.

NW Center for Excellence in Media Literacy The goals of the NW Center for Excellence in Media Literacy in Washington are: · Provide training in media literacy to educators, health professionals and the broad range of disciplines involved in serving children & youth. · Work with teens in developing and promoting teen-driven media products. · Develop and provide media literacy curriculum resources to professionals and paraprofessionals working with children and youth. · Conduct research examining the impact of media literacy education. · Serve as a repository for media literacy education research conducted both nationally and internationally

Skills for the 21st Century: Supporting Digital Literacy in the Classroom The Center for Children's Technology at EDC is developing a Digital Literacy Toolkit that will articulate the skills comprising digital literacy and will help schools and districts implement a new approach to digital literacy teaching. It is a work-in-progress with a goal of completion in 2005. CCT has engaged in hundreds of large- and small-scale research and development projects designed to assess, shape, study and inform the use of information technology in education.
