Maryland Virtual Opportunities Program, Maryland's online learning initiative, has a wealth of materials. The MDK12Digital Library grant provides online resources to all students in Maryland. The partnership is trying to create a consortium for all 24 local school systems to jointly purchase digital content. Technology Literacy by 8th Grade (TL8) also is a partnership of all 24 local school systems. As a response to the NCLB requirement of technology literacy for all students by 8th grade, this consortium is developing a State definition, standards, a possible assessment and accompanying materials to meet the mandate. |
